Job Title: Machine Operator 1st Shift

Job Description

This role requires a keen eye for detail and general mechanical aptitude. The position involves preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings and other specifications.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Conduct a test run to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications.
• Closely monitor the machines during task execution and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of machinery to ensure functionality.

Essential Skills

• Machine operation and general production skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform machine setup and changeovers.
• Experience in monitoring machines and performing quality checks.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering documents and drawings.
• Good math skills and a results-driven approach.
• Good communication abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No CNC experience required, but operating and mechanical experience is essential.
• Previous experience as a machine operator and demonstrable mechanical aptitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school or technical college is a plus.

Work Environment

1st Shift: 5:15 AM - 1:45 PM (Monday - Friday). The position is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $52000.00/yr.
