As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as a crucial link between client business needs and innovative technical solutions. This strategic role entails translating organizational challenges into detailed technological designs that solve our client’s technical challenges. Working in close collaboration with our AI and Data Architects, you will be the primary technical liaison to our clients.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Testing Information Technology (IT) Performance: Design and monitor the quality of website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
  • Application Software Road Map: Define and maintain a roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
  • Technical Developments Recommendation: Discuss and recommend more complex or innovative technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/application software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.
  • Business Requirements Identification: Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
  • Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be": Document complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
  • Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization: Drive advances in technologies and architectures to increase the value delivered by technology and digital capabilities, either through improvements to the efficiency of the technology environment or through those that reduce the total cost of technology operations. Recommend and participate in activities related to the design, development, and maintenance of the digital capabilities within the enterprise architecture.
  • Personal Capability Building: Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
  • Enterprise Business Analysis: Interpret the business need and identify solution recommendations to business problems at a business unit level. Lead the improvement efforts that are within span of control at this level.
  • Project Management: Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
  • Client & Customer Management: Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.
  • Lead solution design across various client ecosystems
  • Conduct in-depth client requirement analysis and technical feasibility assessments
  • Translate complex business requirements into coherent technical architectures
  • Develop comprehensive solution frameworks that align technology with our client’s strategic business objectives
  • Architect end-to-end solution strategies spanning infrastructure, application, and data domains
  • Facilitate technical design workshops and solution validation sessions
  • Negotiate and define technical solution scope with key stakeholders
  • Develop detailed solution architecture documentation
  • Manage technical risk assessment and mitigation strategies

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree - Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering

What you bring to the team

  • General Experience: Wide and deep experience providing expert competence
  • Managerial Experience: Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (13 months to 3 years)
  • 12 + years enterprise architectural design experience
  • Experience working in Oil & Gas and other industrial settings
  • Understanding of environmental reporting
  • Enterprise architecture certifications (TOGAF, AWS/Azure Certified Architect)
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-system solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical complexity into business value
  • Strong business communication capabilities
  • Solution design storytelling
  • Technical stakeholder management
  • Requirements traceability expertise
  • Complex system interdependency mapping

Technical Experience:

  • Enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Technical requirements engineering
  • Cloud infrastructure design (Azure, AWS)
  • Enterprise system interconnectivity
  • Solution integration strategies
  • Hybrid cloud networking and security considerations
  • Data rich environments including data warehouses, data lakehouses, and data lakes
  • Data governance standards and compliance
  • Solution scalability and performance modeling
  • Architectural trade-off analysis
