Job Title: QA Analyst I

Job Description

The QA Analyst will play a pivotal role in maintaining food safety and quality assurance systems and controls within the plant. This includes ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, FSMA, HARPC, process controls, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Food Safety Manager to uphold food safety and quality assurance standards.
• Participate in food safety and quality assurance systems such as SQF, HACCP, FSMA, and HARPC.
• Ensure regulatory compliance through pH and water testing.
• Utilize systems like TraceGains, SafeFood360, and SnapQC for QA testing.
• Assist in reviewing labels to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in regulatory compliance and quality assurance procedures.
• Experience with TraceGains and other food safety systems.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Laboratory skills including pH and water testing.
• Knowledge of SQF, FSMA, and food safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, microbiology, biology, or related fields.
• HACCP certification required.
• PCQI certification preferred, with the opportunity to become certified while employed.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in a bakery.
• Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR Sections).
• Experience with cloud-based food safety and quality management systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
