Lead development of vehicle energy management targets / metrics to ensure customer needs are included in program design, with a primary focus on xEV Vehicle‘s Thermal system develop;
Lead vehicle thermal CAE included engine cooling , vehicle heat management, DC Fast Charging, battery thermal;
Process and maintenance vehicle thermal related requirement, Tracking local regulations and develop Ford's compliance plan accordingly;
lead attribute related program kick-off and launch, mainly on target setting, charging / thermal modeling and simulation, evaluation vs. competitors, DV, charging /thermal performance engineering sign off vs. Ford requirement etc;
Identify local market/customer unique usage and preference in terms of thermal and develop necessary compliance plan;
Support on non-program related work, including local market key technology tracking, main product benchmark and usage evaluation, support on core project related test, study and necessary research;
Follow up and discussion with global team to support related work.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Automotive engineering or equivalent;
At least 5 years vehicle thermal, xEV thermal related experience is prefered
Deep understanding and knowledge in thermal systems (heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics).
2+ complete new or major change program thermal experience , NEV program is a plus.
Capability and experience on Vehicle thermal modeling and simulation with the main tools - MATLAB/Simulink, Dymola, TAITherm, GT, Python or similar.
Good on data analysis and reporting;
Excellent communication skills, specifically around interfacing with multiple teams and presenting to cross-functional audiences;
