Role Overview:
This position will be responsible for identifying any potential utility conflicts with INDOT's transportation projects. Relocating utilities can affect the constructability, cost and schedule of a transportation project. You will have daily communication with utility relocation representatives and/ railroad personnel as well as construction personnel, environmental staff and design engineers. Approximately 20-30% of the time will be in the field at project sites or meetings affecting the project. The successful candidate will manage a large portfolio of projects spanning multiple fiscal years and will need to pass a certification test.
The successful candidate will need to possess a high level of communication and organizational skills. We are looking for a team player with a strong work ethic and a great attitude. Construction plan reading is a plus, but the candidate will be trained in this skill. This is a very interesting role as it's a critical piece to the construction of INDOT's transportation projects.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
