This role is well-suited for someone with strong ownership, cloud security know-how, and a desire to simplify and modernize infrastructure at scale. You'll partner with DevOps, Security, and Architecture teams to streamline deployments and drive cloud transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive cloud strategy, architecture planning, and technical roadmap execution
  • Develop, maintain, and scale secure, compliant, cost-optimized infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Support cloud governance initiatives, tooling, and best practice documentation
  • Act as a thought leader within the infrastructure team and provide mentorship to peers and developers
  • Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance to ensure architecture meets audit, regulatory, and internal policy standards
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable cloud architecture

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10 years of cloud engineering experience, primarily with AWS

  • Familiar with routing, firewalls, load balancing, and network architecture
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting to both executive stakeholders and technical teams
  • Skilled in Jira, Confluence, and collaboration in agile/hybrid development environments
  • Demonstrated success in infrastructure cost optimization, security hardening, and process automation

Nice to Have

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Admin, or DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience with GCP or Azure, and multi-cloud migration projects
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience integrating SaaS and on-prem systems with Azure Active Directory, SSO/MFA

What You’ll Gain

  • Strategic influence over a modern cloud transformation initiative
  • The opportunity to step into a Principal Engineer–level track in the future
  • Work-life flexibility with a remote-first team and Pacific-based hours
  • A collaborative team of SMEs, engineers, and business partners
  • Competitive base salary, strong bonus potential, and full benefits
