2nd Shift Machine Operator & Warehousing Assistant
Location: Delafield, WI
We are seeking a Machine Operator & Warehousing Assistant for our team in Delafield, WI. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality product output at optimal cost, meeting customer specifications, and supporting various operational areas.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
- Pay Rate: $20 per hour.
- Availability: Must be flexible to work overtime as needed and attend meetings or functions outside of regular hours (including weekends/holidays). Some travel may be required for initial training.
- Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing environment requiring frequent communication and adaptability to changes and interruptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot high-speed converting and slitting assets. Perform roll changes, knife changes, minor adjustments, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Interpret job tickets to produce products to exact quantity and specification. Conduct quality inspections, make informed decisions on performance standards, and ensure adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Efficiently load and unload rolls, receive raw materials, and ship finished goods. Operate powered industrial vehicles (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) for inventory placement. Accurately wrap, band, label, and pack pouches according to customer requirements.
- Coordinate with team members, assist with setups and cleanups, and troubleshoot machine or job order issues. Review, suggest, and implement process improvements for departmental and company initiatives.
- Input required information into computer systems, complete necessary paperwork, and strictly adhere to all safety protocols.
Essential Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant manufacturing experience. Slitting and/or warehousing experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude, detail-oriented, strong computer and mathematical aptitude, and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (rarely), 25-50 lbs. (occasionally), and 1-25 lbs. (frequently). Corrected vision to 20/40.
