Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 7 to 11 years of experience in Python3 Azure DevOps and Terraform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Transportation & Logistics and Industrial Manufacturing domains. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to innovative solutions and drive efficiency in our projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable applications using Python3 to enhance operational efficiency in Transportation & Logistics and Industrial Manufacturing domains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that align with business goals and industry standards.
• Utilize Azure DevOps to streamline development processes ensuring continuous integration and delivery.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate deployment and manage cloud resources effectively.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless operations.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
• Document technical specifications and project requirements to facilitate clear communication and understanding among team members.
• Optimize application performance and scalability to meet the growing demands of the business.
• Mentor junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Participate in agile ceremonies contributing to sprint planning retrospectives and daily stand-ups.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations in all development activities.
• Provide technical expertise and support during project planning and execution phases.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Python3 with a strong understanding of its libraries and frameworks.
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation and cloud resource management.
• Solid understanding of Transportation & Logistics and Industrial Manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members promoting a positive and productive team culture.

o The annual salary for this position is between $92K– $118K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
