Senior Flutter Developer

Job Location: Columbus – OH Hybrid

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 to 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Columbus Ohio Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though

The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you’re engaged in, as well as business and client requirements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new app modules based on the product requirements using Flutter framework
  • Maintain existing codebases
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Integrate user-interfaces elements developed by other developers
  • Build user interfaces designed by UI/UX designers
  • Integration of data storage solutions
  • Integrate various APIs from third parties
  • Debug existing apps components, fix issues and avoid regressions
  • Collaborate closely with the teams of UI/UX designers, PMs, QAs, and other developers
  • Participate in software architecture, design discussions and code reviews
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Proficient understanding of Flutter framework, Dart programming, and experience with Flutter state management solutions with 1+ years of hands-on experience in cross platform app development.
  • Proficiency with RESTful APIs, third-party services, and handling asynchronous data.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (AppSync /socket.io/ AWS Cognito, Google Firebase platform) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with native Android (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development is a plus.
  • Good understanding on how to implement security flags into mobile apps & Proficient understanding of the most popular SDKs used within mobile apps.
  • Experience on image optimization, proper session management, CDN usage, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of Apple’s and Android’s design principles and interface guidelines and knowledge of latest design patterns like MVVM/MVP.

Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until August 15th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $97,000 to $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
