Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the activities of quality control personnel in the assigned region.
Recruiting, onboarding and motivation of quality control personnel
Serve as a communication link with sales, dispatch and production
Maintain supplier, engineer and architect relationships
Conduct plant visits for plant testing and PM communication
Review spoilage reports
Monitoring & Controlling Cost of Goods
Monitor and maintain mix designs for area while maintaining overall company mix design structure
Ensure project specifications are reviewed, mix submittals are prepared, and disseminated in a timely manner
Manage the process and selection of new products and technologies
Manage customer complaints/claims and take appropriate actions for resolution
Conduct and assist as needed with employee and customer training programs
Support the corporate initiative for continuous quality improvement
Actively participate in and support the industry committees as related to concrete technology/construction
Continue education in industry related training courses
Work with TDOT on important initiatives (e.g. e-ticketing)
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
Other duties or special projects as assigned by management
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in science or related field and/or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of five years quality control experience desired
Obtain NRMCA Concrete Technologist certifications
Strong and effective communicator, strong analytical skills; ability to manage, implement and adapt to change
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate others
Ability to provide direct and actionable feedback
Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communications
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
Must be willing to reside within the region of responsibility
Proficiency with computers, including Google G Suite and MS Office
Spanish Speaking or Bilingual a plus
