Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in cryptography.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in cryptographic library development, specifically, working very closely with the BoringSSL team to add new features to the library, and engage in library maintenance.
  • Work closely with the BoringSSL TL, and other parts of Google, to meet user needs.
  • Work very closely with partner teams that have a critical dependency on BoringSSL.
  • Guide more junior members of the team to land features and perform maintenance.
  • Grow experience in cryptography consultation and review, as you work with teams across Google on their cryptography library needs.
