The Role

The Director of Strategic Finance and Go-To-Market will serve as a key member of the Datacenter Business Unit (BU) leadership team. This position is the primary finance business partner for Qualcomm's AI Datacenter business, responsible for driving the financial analysis for complex commercial activities and strategic initiatives, providing critical business insights, and leading go-to-market (GTM) activities to establish and grow the AI Datacenter business. This is a highly visible leadership role supporting the number one strategic priority at Qualcomm, demanding significant interaction with senior executives and cross-functional leaders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

The Person

We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented leader with a strong bias for action and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be an early adopter of new processes, technologies, and ideas, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and adept at communicating complex financial information to senior executives. You must possess strong leadership qualities, take ownership of the strategic finance and GTM function for the Datacenter BU, drive continuous improvement, establish best practices, and build strong partnerships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead GTM activities to establish and grow the AI Datacenter business, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop and execute GTM strategies to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market penetration.
  • Drive GTM strategy alignment with the Datacenter BU's goals and objectives, collaborating extensively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations).
  • Lead finance activities supporting key growth opportunities within the AI Datacenter business.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the Datacenter BU leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and overall company impact.
  • Prepare and present insightful financial analysis, reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Datacenter BU leadership to identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic investment opportunities, assessing financial impact and return on investment (ROI) to optimize resource allocation.

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading go-to-market activities, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and forming strategic partnerships to establish and grow the AI Datacenter business.
  • Proven ability to identify key strategic issues, define and perform complex analyses, and influence decisions at the executive level.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or corporate finance within a complex, global organization.
  • Progressive experience in relevant Finance roles, with a significant portion in strategic finance or senior FP&A positions.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis; proficiency with advanced Excel expertise.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, and challenging environment.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Semiconductor or high-tech industry experience is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 13+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
  • 4+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).
  • 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
  • 4+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$175,900.00 - $263,900.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
