We’re seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and relentlessly responsive Live Events - Ad Operations Manager to join our team. You will have the opportunity to help shape a fast growing live sports advertising product at scale, and join a fast-paced, problem-solving environment where your input directly impacts revenue and product evolution.
- You will be responsible for setting up, execution, and real-time monitoring of live events streaming campaigns.
- Build and manage custom connection points with publisher partners who are not integrated into FreeWheel.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Ad Ops, Planning, Inventory) and external partners to troubleshoot campaign issues, manage tags, and normalize tracking processes.
- Monitor campaigns in real-time during key live events that include weekends and nights (sports events, award shows, political windows, etc.).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-stakes live campaigns; working with sales, account management, clients, and publishers to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Document workflows and assist in training internal teams on new and evolving processes.
- Audit and refine the Live-Events campaign lifecycle, identifying bottlenecks and manual tasks that can be improved or automated.
- Track and report on inventory delivery issues, viewer trends, or pacing anomalies related to high-impact live events.
- Coordinate measurement and tracking layers with vendors, identifying whether proposed setups will function properly before live deployment.
- Assist in long-term workflow improvement, including FreeWheel integration strategies and
- 3–5 years of experience in digital advertising operations, campaign/account management, or inventory management.
- Willingness and availability to work during non-standard hours (evenings, weekends, holidays, sports tentpoles).
- Strong familiarity with FreeWheel, campaign tagging, and ad trafficking best practices.
- Experienced with popular 3rd party ad servers (DCM, Innovid, Flashtalking), as well as ad verification vendors (DoubleVerify, IAS, MOAT). Understanding capabilities, tagging, and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of Streaming-TV/Connected-TV media, including troubleshooting video player and VAST tagging issues.
- Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex problems clearly and concisely between Publisher Partners and clients. Need to be detailed and solution oriented, can also translate into laymen’s terms.
- Professionally experienced in Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.), with strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with DSPs, SSPs, or deal management platforms, especially in environments that require manual setup and real-time problem-solving.
- Deep interest in sports, media, and the evolving streaming landscape is a plus.
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary of $80,000-$90,000. (dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package (including but not limited to health care benefits, retirement benefits and paid days off).
