Description
NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Kawader Research Assistant Fellow position to support a cutting-edge research project focused on the molecular structure and function of eumelanin, using solid-state NMR spectroscopy and complementary analytical techniques.
This position provides hands-on experience in spectroscopy, materials characterization, and collaborative research within an international academic setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and characterization of eumelanin samples.
- Operate and maintain solid-state NMR equipment (Bruker 400–800 MHz) under supervision.
- Perform data acquisition, spectral processing, and analysis.
- Maintain organized lab records and assist in report and manuscript preparation.
- Participate in collaborative discussions across multidisciplinary teams.
The candidate will also work on individualized research projects under the supervision/mentorship of the supervisor.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related fields.
- Familiarity with NMR spectroscopy is an asset, but not mandatory (training will be provided).
- Strong interest in scientific research, particularly in biomaterials or spectroscopy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to pursue graduate studies in the future is encouraged.
