Hi, we’re Gravie. Our mission is to improve the way people purchase and access healthcare through innovative, consumer-centric health benefit solutions that people can actually use. Our industry-changing products and services are developed and delivered by a diverse group of unique people. We encourage you to be your authentic self - we like you that way.

A Little More About The role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Project Manager & Scrum Master focused on the development of our innovative Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) product. In this dual role, you will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of our ICHRA solution, ensuring projects stay on track, and empowering our development teams to operate at their highest potential using Agile methodologies. You will leverage your expertise in both project management and Scrum to navigate the complexities of healthcare product development, particularly within the evolving regulatory and operational landscape of ICHRA.

You will:

As Project Manager:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and budget for ICHRA product features and enhancements.
  • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to all stakeholders, including executive leadership, product owners, engineering leads, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans and escalating as necessary.
  • Coordinate and manage resources across multiple teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Manage relationships, as required, with external vendors or partners involved in ICHRA product development, ensuring deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
  • Track and report on key project metrics, progress, and performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all project activities and product development adhere to relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, ICHRA-specific regulations) and internal compliance standards.

As Scrum Master:

  • Serve as a servant leader and coach for one or more agile development teams, fostering self-organization, continuous improvement, and adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to ensure effective communication and progress.
  • Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team's progress, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and ready for development.
  • Track and report on key agile metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity, lead time) to help teams understand and improve their performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement within the development process, encouraging experimentation and adaptation based on team feedback and outcomes.

You bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of combined experience in Project Management and Scrum Master roles, specifically within software product development.
  • 2+ years of direct experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of healthcare benefits, insurance processes, and, ideally, experience with HRAs or self-funded plans.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with ICHRA (Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement) regulations, operational models, and market dynamics is highly preferred.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), PMP, or equivalent project management/agile certification required.
  • Proven ability to manage complex software development projects from conception to launch.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and a track record of successfully leading agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira) and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • A servant-leader mindset with a passion for enabling team success.
  • You must be eligible to work in the United States without need of sponsorship now or in the future.

Extra credit:

  • Experience with other health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) or consumer-driven health plans (CDHPs).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, legal, sales, and operations.
  • Experience in a B2B and B2C SaaS environment within healthcare.
