The position of Quality Assurance is essential to processing a high volume of product enrollments and documentation accurately, on time and within regulatory requirements. Attention to detail is critical in identifying and resolving errors so that prospective customers and members receive their membership card within the expected timeframe and MTM goals are met. The position works collaboratively across the department and must work to solve complex account questions.

Compensation

$23.00 - $27.30 hourly

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for communicating and working with cross-department staff to identify potential risks and solutions for performance improvement.
  • Responsible for identifying rating, keying or processing errors for optimal performance.
  • Identifies training needs and reports to leadership.
  • Drives quality improvement through collaboration, influence and partnerships.
  • Ensures service level and quality of work thresholds are maintained.
  • Analyze and verify accuracy of systems and enrollment paperwork associated with the enrollment process to meet MTM guidelines and departmental procedures for accuracy.
  • Responsible for tracking all errors and providing feedback to leadership and other staff.
  • Key enrollments in internal systems for the automated process of setting up individual enrollments.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all documents utilized in the enrollment processes.
  • Utilizes information provided by representatives to complete the enrollment process of new/existing individual customers.
  • Recognize and accept responsibility of achieving MTM goals on all enrollment packets.
  • This position is required to have a firm understanding of the benefits offered to individuals and be able to change hats quickly regarding the actuarial, underwriting, policy administration, and legislative differences between these lines of business with 97% accuracy. Failure to obtain this level of expertise can result in excessive costs to the company via exceptions, KID inquiries, and MTM Errors.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to multi-task duties and work in a fast- paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills to operate effectively with company systems and programs. To perform the duties of the position, the incumbent should have experience in programs used by the department
  • Proficiency in mathematics and spelling is required.
  • Excellent human relation skills required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with all levels of clients and staff, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and work independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Must always maintain a positive attitude and outlook, including times of environmental change and increased workloads.
  • Ability to write effectively and provide written and verbal feedback that will motivate, coach and develop employees.
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented and possess effective time management skills and organization.

  • Proven record of low unscheduled absences is required.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all products that are in individual sales after a training period.

Education and Experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience within the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kansas Insurance Department License for Life, Accident, and Health is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Position requires use of the PC up to 95% of the day and must be able to work in a very fast paced environment.
