Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of complex biologics development and manufacturing projects. This role is critical in ensuring client satisfaction, operational excellence, and timely delivery of milestones in a fast-paced CDMO environment.

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for managing timelines, project scope, material budgets, and leading the internal and external project team meetings. This involves developing project plans, project risk assessments, project budgets, and ensuring that project milestones are achieved. The individual in this role will be the primary interface with clients. To be successful as a Project Manager, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications and SmartSheet, and have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end project management for biologics programs, from tech transfer through clinical and commercial manufacturing.
  • Successful planning, implementation, and execution of multiple contracted activities from development through GMP activities for biologics.
  • Client Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment of expectations, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder and client meetings regularly.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams including Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure project success as well as delivery on milestones.
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership, influencing and interpersonal skills – highly efficient effective communicator with skills to influence, persuade and gain the cooperation of others at all levels within a matrix management business environment.
  • Timeline & Budget Management: Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assures the accurate transfer of contracts from proposal through project completion.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular project updates to internal stakeholders and clients, including dashboards, KPIs, and executive summaries.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires working in an office environment.
  • The role requires walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds independently.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree (MS, MBA, or PhD) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of project management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in a CDMO or CMO environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of biologics development – mammalian and CGT, GMP manufacturing, and regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA).
  • Certifications: PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)

Compensation Range: The base compensation range for this role is between $130,000 and $155,000. However, the actual compensation may vary depending on your experience and qualifications.
