The candidate will be working as a member of the Sub-Same Day (SSD) delivery team as we work to provide faster than same day delivery across North America. We are looking for a Program Manager with proven program management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional projects and programs within our Sub Same Day Delivery offering.

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for delivery operations related Under The Roof (UTR) Processes for the Grocery delivery business. The PM will support delivery functions related to launch of new Grocery in SSD buildings, partner on process designs, improve and roll out new processes to reduce cost to serve and improve delivery quality. Building a robust process to ensure a high quality pick up experience for the delivery partners is critical to the success of the Grocery Delivery programs.

This position will be open to Bellevue, WA (Greater Seattle Area, Washington), Nashville, TN and New York, New York for location options.

Key job responsibilities

  • Coordinating closely with internal and external stakeholders worldwide to proactively identify, optimize, track and report performance.
  • Developing and utilizing data inputs and KPI’s to inform operational adjustments.
  • Define and create processes that will scale to meet growing business demands.
  • Partnering with Directors, Senior Managers, and other key operational and technical leaders across the organization.

A day in the life

The PM will support delivery functions for launch of new grocery operations in SSD buildings, partner on designs, build, improve and roll out new processes to reduce cost and improve quality. Building a robust process in our operations to ensure a high quality pick up experience for the delivery partners is critical to the success of the Grocery Delivery programs. The role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating, driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes. This PM will manage key metrics related to Delivery quality for Grocery Delivery, and develop the roadmap to further improve quality and reduce cost through network standardization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience in grocery or warehouse or supply chain operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
