Job Title: CNC Mill Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Mill Programmer to join our team as we make new investments into our machining department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming Mastercam from scratch and machining on the floor. This role involves a dynamic mix of programming and hands-on machining, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mill equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Machine aircraft parts holding tolerances as tight as .0005”.
  • Perform critical measurements using supplied gauging.
  • Maintain proper paperwork associated with planned jobs.
  • Translate prints and understand GD&T on blueprints.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in shop math skills.
  • Utilize a wide variety of precision measuring tools.
  • Expose to Haas mills and controllers.
  • Program Mastercam from scratch.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years as a CNC Mill Programmer.
  • Ability to perform setups, tool changes, and offsets.
  • Experience in programming Mastercam from scratch (3+ years) - 2D & 3D.
  • Background in prototype and short run machining (30 - 500 pieces).
  • Proficiency in working with stainless steel and holding tight tolerances.
  • Basic toolboxes and measuring tools knowledge, including indicators.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Mill & Lathe programming background.
  • 4 Axis / 3+2 Axis experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wixom, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
