This role is responsible for managing critical data engineering processes and data architecture solutions for additive manufacturing technologies and inspection modalities across various development phases to enable analytical and reporting solutions. The position requires a minimum of four years of experience and involves analyzing and preparing data for data science-driven outcomes, maintaining metadata structures, and supporting post-deployment activities. Strong change management skills are essential, as the role requires identifying new technologies, securing stakeholder buy-in, and driving process improvements. Collaboration, communication, and problem-solving are key to navigating ambiguity, influencing decisions, and delivering innovative solutions in an agile environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with big data, CI/CD pipelines, and complex code development, as well as mentoring and coaching capabilities to grow talent within the team.

Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing business critical data engineering processes and data architecture solutions for additive manufacturing technologies and inspection modalities in various phases of development to enable analytical and reporting solutions.
  • Responsible for analyzing and preparing the data needed for data science based outcomes. Also responsible for managing and maintaining metadata data structures besides providing necessary support for post-deployment related activities. Accountable to deliver results in a timely manner using agile methodologies.
  • Change Agent - Proactively learns new tools and integrates new methods to drive improved outcomes. Identifies and assesses new technologies that can add value and capability to GE. Builds rapport with the team and gets buy-in for ideas. Drives stakeholder understanding and acceptance of new ideas in their business. Consults on projects to fit systems or infrastructure, and project goals to their function, and vice versa. Provides risk-assessed options in relation to process enhancement and professional expertise. Consults on data or data infrastructure development projects and identifies when necessary to modify the solution.

Makes benchmarked and researched recommendations with contingency plans in place for potential adverse consequences; takes responsibility for consequences of decision/risk. Coordinates team's work and performance with broader organizational objectives and manages conflicts between them. Advises others in how to solve difficult problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 4 years of experience
  • Must have 4 years of experience working with AWS

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge working with S3, Storage Gateway, and SageMaker.
  • Experience with Python and SQL.
  • Have worked with Firewalls.

Abilities:

  • Influences LPBs and below on their decisions.
  • Drives design and implementation of the roadmap.
  • Design and develop complex code in multiple languages.
  • Developing reusable code pipelines through CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience of big data or MPP databases.
  • Developing and executing integrated test plans.
  • Coach and mentor across pod to develop team members.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
