Security Architect

Nasuni is seeking an experienced Security Architect responsible for developing and implementing the security strategy and infrastructure that supports a secure environment for both our product offerings and corporate operations. This role will focus on security operations, incident response, and designing end-to-end security controls to continuously improve and scale Nasuni’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessment of proposed and existing system architecture for compliance with security best practices, recommending technical, administrative and physical controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Design and maintain secure solutions and architectures for SaaS applications, APIs, infrastructure (cloud and on-prem), and endpoint devices.
• Lead security incident detection, triage, investigation, containment, and remediation in coordination with SOC/MSSP partners.
• Drive and lead security processes, tools, and monitoring in areas such as:
  • Infrastructure security
  • Identity and access management
  • Network and email security
  • Endpoint security
  • Encryption
• Develop and execute a zero-trust access roadmap.
• Provide guidance to Engineering and Product Management on defining and prioritizing development of secure product offerings.
• Support internal and external audits and assessments with technical evidence and documentation.
• Support customer and prospect inquiries about the security program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture or a related role.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001).
• Hands-on experience with IAM, cloud security (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), EDR, SOAR, SIEM, and email security tools.
• Deep expertise in server, OS and network hardening.
• Proven track record with security operations and incident response in SaaS or hybrid environments.
• Experience performing architecture and design reviews.
• Expertise in encryption standards, secure communication protocols, and data protection best practices.
• Ability to keep track of numerous detail-intensive, interdependent tasks and ensure their accurate completion.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability of problems while collaborating with others.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Security management certificates (CISSP, CSSLP, CISM, etc.)
• Security standards and practices (CSA, OWASP, SANS, etc.)
• Security of relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle)
• Experience with compliance frameworks like SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or GDPR.
