Position PurposeDickey Center Fellows work closely with senior leaders in the Dickey Center on specific projects, conduct research and analysis on key global and international issues, and serve as a primary resource for selected finance and administrative functions. The position assists the Dickey Center in engaging across the Dartmouth community, strengthening an international perspective, hosting events, and working on programs that address current issues with engagement and problem-solving across global health, international peace and security, and international development. This is a one-year TERM position.

- Deep experience in the Dartmouth community.

- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
- Occasional weekend and evening hours will be required to attend special events and programs (some travel may be required as well).

- Preferred Qualifications

Key Accountabilities
DescriptionGlobal Health and Development Program (GHAD)
- Manages student-oriented programs in coordination with GHAD leadership.
- Assists in content creation and community engagement through speakers and service projects.
- Assists with creating the communications schedule, drafts email letters and notices to faculty and staff. Prepares minutes, distributes information, acts as a single point of contact for the program.
- Tracks fundraising and participation metrics, provides analysis on progress of program in comparison to previous years.

DescriptionFaculty-Directed Special Initiative in Global Health
- Collaborates with senior leaders on the year-long research and analysis process in support of the special initiative. Supports the Dickey-affiliated faculty member (in coordination with GHAD leadership) to conduct research on the topic of the special initiative. Support outreach to academic and policy community in coordination with project director.
- Works on organizing and supporting meetings and workshops; participates in meetings and draft letters, emails and minutes targeted to audiences in advance and follow up.
- Meets with faculty, students, practitioners, and alumni; prepares documents for the Dickey Center in presenting the work.
- Supports the organization of meetings, including travel arrangements for participants.
- Provides logistical support, write reports, drafts short reports on research findings.
- Organizes recruitment of speakers for Dickey, plans student information session, prepares ads and posters, as well as writes emails to raise awareness of program. Acts a primary point of contact for inquiries from students and alumni.

- Works with Director to support special projects, including research projects, the development of speaker series that highlight Great Issues, and campus-based efforts to address key multidisciplinary challenges.
