The Position

As a Key Account Manager Pharmacy, your responsibility will be to focus on expanding our engagement and partnerships with private accounts driving the adoption and use of our products developing innovative solutions to address the unique needs of this growing market segment.

Your Main Accountabilities will be to:

  • Develop and execute a targeted account management strategy to strengthen Novo Nordisk's presence in the private sector and create tailored engagement plans for private clients that focus on meeting both their business needs and the shared patient outcomes
  • Act as the primary point of contact for private accounts, maintaining consistent communication, and ensuring relationships are developed into strong, long-lasting partnerships
  • Organize and lead meetings, educational events and product presentations for private healthcare providers to enhance their understanding of our products
  • Gather insights from private accounts related to patient flows, market dynamics, local challenges, and competitive landscapes and collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, market access, and medical) to ensure initiatives are aligned within the broader business plans
  • Track Private accounts segment performance data, including sales, inventory and distribution metrics and provide actionable insights and regular reporting about Private accounts development and areas requiring strategic adjustments.

Qualifications

As a Key Account Manager Pharmacy, you need to have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, pharmacy or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). In addition you need to have a minimum of 5 years of professional in key account management, sales, or business development within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical aesthetics industry. Moreover, you need to have demonstrated knowledge and experience with Out of the pocket or/and OTC products sales.

To be successful in this role, you should also have:

  • Experience working with private healthcare networks.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales objectives within pharmacy settings.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in utilizing data to drive decision-making.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for improving patient outcomes and access to innovative therapies.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is an advantage

This position is based in Bratislava, Slovakia, where you will be part of our Business Development team within the Slovakia commercial affiliate.
