Position PurposeThe Substitute Assistant Teacher supports teachers with childcare responsibilities.

Required Qualifications· Some experience working with children.

  • Completion of required training including training in universal precautions.
  • Maintains pediatric First Aid/CPR training certification.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities· Assists regular staff with childcare in a play-based curriculum.

  • Works with children ranging from 6 weeks to 54 months.
  • Assists in supervising children, participating in play, and engaging children.
  • Participates in some light housekeeping.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
