Requirements and Nature of Work:
Nature of Work: Prepare and test lab experiments, exercises and assignments. Assist students with lab experiments, assignments and theory. Prepare and deliver tutorials. Present demonstrations. Mark assignments, lab reports and quizzes. Offer consultation hours and answer emails from students. Proctor examinations and/or quizzes.
Minimum Requirements: Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent and its prerequisite(s) with a mark of A or better. Attend a TA workshop if necessary. Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position. If the responsibilities include DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision or teaching, the applicant must be available for all of these. Excellent knowledge of computer architecture. Hands-on experience with Altera Quartus II and FPGA; good knowledge of VHDL and assembly language. Must demonstrate clear ability to explain complex concepts. Excellent verbal communication skills in English. Previous experience as a TA for CEG2136 or equivalents is an asset.
