Sanlam Life and Savings (SLS) is focused on serving our retail and corporate clients in South Africa and further developing our strategic advantages in the South African market. Sanlam Life and Savings consists of the following business units Retail Mass, Corporate, Risk and Savings, Glacier and various business enabling functions. The Sanlam Life and Savings Office provides strategic direction, coordination and support to the four clusters, as well as performing governance oversight that includes assurance provided by second line of defense functions in SLS, to enable us to meet our business objectives.
This role is primarily focused on the maintenance of client data, namely through capturing of client data received from the client or their appointed financial intermediary via email, telephone, SMS or Post. It is the responsibility of the Client Data Administrator to check the system applications to find any existing data of the client that was not updated on record and then to update it. The Client Data Administrator will contact the client telephonically, via email, SMS or Post to get the latest information from the client so that the client’s information can be updated on record. The Client Data Administrator will perform tracking and tracing and thus utilize the services of external vendors to gain the client information that can be used to contact the client and thus to confirm with the client whether this information can be used to update our records. Validating the client information and thus performing a verification process with the client is of utmost importance.
The Client Data Administrator will be a support function to the Operational Data Stewards. The client data scorecard will provide an indication of each business units data fields that are missing information and it would be the Client Data Administrators responsibility to obtain this information from as mentioned above to update the client data fields. The Consultant will assist the Operational Data Stewards with the handling of the Data Subject Participation process by communicating with the various business units within Retail Affluent via email and assist in obtaining the client portfolio or where applicable that the client request to have their client data removed from the business unit’s systems.
Updating of client information will be a key responsibility and thus would assist on the client data mailbox and help update client information on the Client Data System.
