Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Full Stack Developers, Decision Science in Atlanta, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with data scientists and data engineers to operationalize models and deliver insights to the business.
- Responsible for ensuring that machine learning (“ML”) code, models, and pipelines are deployed successfully into production and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Continuously integrate and ship code into Delta’s on-premises and cloud production environments and transform data science protypes and apply appropriate ML algorithms and tools.
- Train and retrain ML models. Develop deep learning systems for various use cases based on the business needs and automate model training, testing, and deployment via ML continuous delivery pipelines.
- Build data APIs and data delivery services that support critical operational and analytical applications for Delta’s internal business operations, customers, and partners.
- Ensure a good data flow between databases and backend systems and design and implement metrics to verify model and algorithm effectiveness.
- Optimize solutions for performance and scalability.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and acceptance criteria for model performance in production.
- Ensure that Delta methodology, standards, and procedures are adopted and implemented and guarantee that technical solutions meet customers’ business goals and that customer satisfaction is high.
- Serve as a point of contact for technical issues, creating documentation, and monitoring service levels.
- Coordinate activities with internal and external technology owners and service providers and consult within their project team and with other Delta teams, as well as with outside vendors or consultants to ensure project or product integrity.
- Mentor other Senior Developers on the team.
- Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Microservices design patterns and tools, and relational or non-relational databases
- Server-side application development including data services and API development utilizing modern languages and frameworks including Java/J2EE, Python, or Node.js
- Web application development using Angular, JavaScript, and Typescript Engineering
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies and cloud-based application development
- Architecture and design for modern cloud-based application
- Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, and Build tools
- Establishing coding standards, performing code reviews, assessing code vulnerabilities, and identifying defects
