As a Project Manager II, Monitors and handles all aspects of designated clinical trial protocols and programs for both GCL and BioA lab. be accountable for overall project performance and client’s satisfaction by meeting their needs and expectations through the life cycle of the assigned clinical trials. Provides internal consulting on project management issues and identifies opportunities for process and efficiency improvement. Acts as chief liaison to the operational personnel of major sponsors and is responsible for large study programs. When needed. Mentors Project Managers.

A day in the Life:

  • Leads allocated studies according to timelines and quality standards.
  • Coordinates activities of all functional departments and vendors involved in the project. Works with team and management to develop plans/guidelines for project implementation using PPD tools. Monitors and analyzes project status to ensure successful completion of project parameters, achievements, timetables.
  • Acts as liaison between Sponsor and PPD by facilitating the flow of information between PPD and client. Provides Sponsor with timely project updates, project related fiscal information, ensures accurate protocol interpretations, and acquires direction and feedback on implementing scope of work. May discuss and acquire feedback from Sponsors regarding PPD’s performance to date.
  • Advances any issues or potential issues to management for all project related issues.
  • Collaborates with other departments to handle financial and contractual aspects, setting financial achievements for invoicing and subcontracting, working with third-party service providers, approving subcontractor invoices, and establishing accurate accruals for investigator grants. Teams up with the project team to put in place controls for budget alignment.
  • Ensures that appropriate assessment and coordination of project/protocol specific and therapeutic area training needs and activities are occurring for the team members as needed.
  • Participate in Client visit and audit and introduce project management process to the client.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.

Experience

  • Previous experience in both central lab and Bioanalytical lab that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 3+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
  • Experience level indicates the vital years to acquire skills for job functions.

  • Proficient in using specific computers and enterprise applications, including office efficiency
