Position Summary
Acuren is currently recruiting for temporary level II UT Techs w/ISQ for fall TAR work.
Responsibilities
- Perform Level II ultrasonic testing (UT) in accordance with applicable procedures and standards (e.g., ASNT, ISQ).
- Interpret and evaluate UT results to identify indications and assess component condition.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate UT equipment safely and accurately.
- Complete field reports, inspection documentation, and client deliverables in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate findings to clients and Acuren supervisors clearly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company and customer safety requirements at all times.
- Work independently or as part of a crew in field and facility environments.
- Assist in training and mentoring NDT assistants or Level I personnel, if needed.
- Travel to job sites as required.
Requirements
- ISQ Ultrasonic Testing (UT) certification required.
- Level II UT certification in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of UT principles, equipment, and data interpretation.
- Ability to work in industrial environments including refineries, pipelines, and fabrication shops.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel and work varying schedules based on client needs.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening as required by site.
- Additional NDT certifications (MT, PT, RT, etc.).
- Previous experience in rope access, refinery, or turnaround environments.
- TWIC card or ability to obtain one if needed.
