Position Summary

Prep vegetables for rice processing.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Retrieve product/components and bring to workstation.
  • Receives all components according to production schedule(s)
  • Informs Lead Person of shortage or overage on product.
  • Opens ingredients for supply to hopper.
  • Shovel ingredients for supply to hopper
  • Completes all required paperwork for work are
  • Labels products appropriately.
  • Ensures work is done to production standards
  • Must be able to follow the plant’s FIFO (first in, first out) program to ensure that all ingredients are used in the proper order.
  • Performs work safely and in compliance with all government regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Follow all safety procedures

Employee Safety Responsibilities:

  • Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
  • Use personal assistance (buddy)
  • Use handrails
  • Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Position Qualifications

  • Prefer High School Diploma/GED
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing environment or equivalent type of manufacturing
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work rapidly and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Reliable
  • Self-driven
  • Minimal Supervision
  • Forklift/Palletjack Certification
