Program Manager Fundraising and Philanthropy Transformation

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Philanthropy, the Program Manager Fundraising & Philanthropy Transformation will be accountable to project managing the significant change program for Fundraising & Philanthropy across UnitingCare. The Program Manager Fundraising & Philanthropy Transformation will be responsible for developing the project plan to deliver the significant change to drive increased revenue from these activities.

In this strategic role you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive transformation program aimed at significantly increasing revenue through fundraising & philanthropy. Your work will include: Culture, Operating Model & Capability, Donor Data Strategy & Engagement Channels, Fundraising and Philanthropy Service Offerings, Planning, Reporting and Internal Engagement, Policy & Governance, Process, Technology and Data Enablement.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to embed a culture of philanthropy – ensuring UnitingCare is well positioned to inspire generosity and deliver lasting impact.

Please note, this is a full time, permanent position. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

  • Lead a strategic transformation program across six key pillars: culture and capability, data and marketing channels, service offerings, planning and reporting, policy and governance, and technology enablement.
  • Design and deliver a comprehensive program roadmap, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fundraising ambitions based on an approved strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, including Head of Fundraising & Philanthropy, GGM Transformation and business unit stakeholders across Hospitals, Aged Care & Community Services, and Family & Disability Services, to embed a culture of philanthropy and innovation.
  • Drive operational excellence by implementing best-practice project management methodologies, risk and issue tracking, and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making, leveraging tools like Salesforce and SharePoint to enhance donor insights, streamline processes and unlock new fundraising opportunities.
  • Inspire and engage stakeholders at all levels, ensuring the transformation journey is inclusive, transparent, and aligned with UnitingCare’s mission & values.

What makes a difference for us?

  • Tertiary level qualifications in Project Management or a related field, with demonstrated experience in leading a similar program driving a large-scale transformation through data driven process improvement.
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced outcomes focused delivery environment, ideally in a similar role.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, including “story telling”, with demonstrated experience in successfully influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders to deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement capability ideally at an executive and leadership level, with the ability to build and develop positive and effective working relationships.
  • Strong customer-focused attitude, commitment to actively display organisational values, and contribute to team goals.
