Monday-Friday / 8am-5:30pm

Saturday 9am-1pm

Job Description:

The Bank Teller Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the teller line within a bank branch, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of customer transactions while maintaining high standards of customer service. This role involves supervising and coaching tellers, managing cash operations, resolving customer inquiries, and promoting bank products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to teller staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Transaction Oversight: Monitor teller transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance with bank policies and procedures, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Foster a customer-centric environment by delivering exceptional service to bank customers, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting a positive banking experience.
  • Cash Management: Manage cash operations, including cash ordering, balancing vaults and ATMs, and maintaining adequate cash levels to meet customer demand while minimizing risks.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure teller activities comply with banking regulations, internal controls, and security protocols to mitigate operational and financial risks.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to customers, such as savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment products, to enhance revenue generation and customer relationships.
  • Performance Tracking: Track and analyze teller performance metrics, such as transaction volumes, accuracy rates, and customer satisfaction scores, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline teller processes, workflows, and systems to improve efficiency, reduce wait times, and enhance overall branch productivity.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other branch staff, including branch managers, customer service representatives, and loan officers, to achieve branch goals, resolve operational issues, and promote a cohesive team environment.
  • Training and Development: Develop and conduct training programs for teller staff on banking products, procedures, compliance requirements, and customer service skills to enhance their knowledge and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a bank teller or in a supervisory role within the banking industry.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in cash handling procedures and basic accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with banking software and systems, such as teller platforms and transaction processing systems.
