Are you an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in building high-performing teams? We’re hiring a Plant Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturer in Rochelle, IL, known for its commitment to safety, operational excellence, and employee development.
In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, supervise and coach production staff, and ensure quality and safety standards are met across the plant. You'll be the key link between leadership goals and frontline execution—playing a critical role in meeting production targets and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Duties
- Lead and motivate a team of manufacturing employees to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
- Develop and manage shift schedules, labor assignments, and workflow planning.
- Monitor product quality and equipment performance; escalate maintenance issues as needed.
- Train and cross-train team members; provide ongoing coaching and conduct performance reviews.
- Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Collaborate with departments including Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to drive efficiency.
- Analyze daily production data, generate reports, and lead problem-solving efforts.
- Support action plans that reduce downtime, increase output, and improve team engagement.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience using shop floor software (MES, SAP, or equivalent).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of inventory control, scheduling, and quality assurance.
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask.
- Associates degree in management, supervision, or related field preferred.
