Job Description

The VP of Sales (Small Segment & Specialty Solutions) leads growth for Sage’s North America Small segment and drive innovation through our Specialty Solutions team. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead two strategic missions: first, drive growth and retention in our Small Business Install Base. Second, build and lead our Specialty Solutions Sales team—focused on selling next-gen, high-potential solutions to new and existing customers.

Reporting to our MD of North America, you’ll shape sales strategies, lead a passionate team (~80 people), and work cross-functionally to turn goals into revenue reality.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Own

  • Lead and scale sales teams to exceed revenue targets and retention goals
  • Lead our Specialty Solutions Sales team
  • Create accurate forecasts and predictable revenue pipelines
  • Coach and empower reps to succeed in a hybrid (onsite/remote) model
  • Represent Sage at key events, with partners, and inside the boardroom
  • Champion collaboration across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support
  • Tackle escalations with professionalism and empathy
  • Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and results

  • Revenue growth and retention targets met or exceeded (ARR)
  • Successful expansion of Specialty Solutions sales
  • Predictable pipeline and forecast accuracy
  • Explosive ARR growth and exceptional renewals
  • High-performing engaged teams and happy customers (eNPS & cNPS)
  • A crystal-clear strategy, flawlessly executed

What You Bring

  • Strong experience leading B2B software sales teams (US/Canada), with 8+ in senior leadership
  • Proven success managing onsite + remote sales orgs
  • Experience in SaaS/tech and cross-sell/up-sell strategy
  • Strong forecasting, pipeline, and sales process skills
  • Inspiring leadership and people development chops
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50%
  • Experience scaling inside sales in the SMB/high-tech market
  • Success in building cross-functional, multi-channel sales teams
