Job Description:

Targeting Analyst

Our work depends on a Mid-level Targeting Analyst, to serve in support of defense analytical requirements for a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC).

HOW A MID TARGETING ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Conduct targeting analysis and functions in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) policies, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) Manuals/Instructions, and USCENTCOM standards.
  • Conduct all-source intelligence research and analysis to perform basic, intermediate, and advanced target development in support of lethal and non-lethal engagements.
  • Conduct collateral damage incident research and reporting.
  • Compose database-relevant remarks for Electronic Target Folders (ETFs).
  • Conduct Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE) and generate required graphics.
  • Develop and refine target planning documents and perform target list management
  • Edit and provide input on DoD and USCENTCOM policies regarding targeting.
  • Provide recommendations for target prioritization and support target vetting and validation processes
  • Assist in the development of Target System Analysis (TSA)
  • Compile and present visual depictions of target intelligence to aid senior decision-makers.
  • Manage target databases, including nominations, reviews, updates, deletions, and graphic uploads.
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) support for training events and requirements.
  • Contribute recommendations to CJCS Manuals/Instructions, USCENTCOM policies, and SOPs.
  • Prepare and present briefings for Target Validation, Joint Target Working Group, and Joint Target Coordination Board.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Security Clearance Level: TS / SCI, with polygraph eligibility.
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Desired Education / Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 8 yrs experience with at least a portion of the experience in the last 2 yrs.
  • Required: Familiarity with DoD and CJCS targeting policies, procedures, and databases. Experience conducting target development and Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE).
  • Preferred: CCMD targeting expertise.

The likely salary range for this position is $83,429 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
