Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience with iOS application development.
  • 3 years of experience with testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with existing Android systems with the ability to leverage and adapt them for the iOS platform.
  • Knowledge of the iOS system and the ability to identify and address technical tests.
  • Ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for iOS development, shaping multi-year iOS strategy for agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Drive technical consensus and align engineering efforts within the team and across collaborating organizations.
  • Lead the execution of technical projects within timelines and for product launches.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical leaders across various Product Areas, including DeepMind, Platforms and Devices, Research, and Search.
  • Promote a culture of technical excellence, learning, and collaborative problem-solving within the engineering team.
