Your Impact

The Analytics and Operations Associate II will tackle hands-on analytics measurement, documentation and reporting of the Public Relations and Digital Communication team’s efforts, monitoring progress to goals and distilling data into meaningful insights that inform strategy, optimization and decision making.

Your time and work are defined in the following categories:

Performance Measurement & Reporting:

  • Development and delivery of official quarterly reporting activities of the department while also tracking and documenting monthly performance, delivering regular campaign reports and managing ad-hoc data and performance asks of the team.
  • Use data to define, measure and report on KPIs and metrics for the team’s annual planning and campaigns, sharing regular progress updates and insights to inform real-time optimizations and go-forward strategies.
  • Connect data and insights to business objectives, creating clear headlines and stats to support our approach, highlight our impact and showcase delivery on business goals.
  • Develop compelling visualizations for presentation of the data that enables the team to make decisions and optimizations and stakeholders and executives to easily understand our impact.
  • Critically evaluate analytical processes, tools and deliverables, offering informed opinions and recommendations on solutions that improve the quality of the team’s work.
  • Actively seek to understand the marketing and communications landscape, department and business priorities and in-market activities of the team, enabling the contextualization of the data, channels and performance for more informed insights.
  • Help support the oversight of the technology for analytics and project management tools to ensure alignment across the business.

Operations:

  • Lead the template builds, QA and deployments of our email marketing program, working closely with the development team to build and troubleshoot automated drip campaigns, monthly and quarterly newsletters and ad hoc sends.
  • Report on and manage database growth for each audience segment, including managing daily data uploads from lead gen advertising.
  • Work with the web and paid media managers on methods of generating database growth—opportunity for creativity and growth to make the program your own!
  • Supports the public relations and digital communications team by serving as the project management technology (Wrike) SME to support the team’s needs, perform regularly required archival procedures and work with the project management team to request customizations and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Serves as the lead of our Sharepoint approval workflow system that facilitates collaborative reviews, feedback and approvals which includes supporting any training needs, troubleshooting and working with the developer on any customizations.
  • Provides ad hoc support to the team in managing day-to-day activities and special initiative logistics as needed and as bandwidth allows.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related experience in performance measurement and reporting.
  • College degree in marketing, business, data science, communications or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analytics tools like Google Analytics, Data Studio, Tableau, Clarity, etc.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to analyze and present data to various audiences, breaking down complex data into actionable, clear and concise insights.
  • Creative problem solver who can connect the company’s objectives to compelling insights and analytics.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Wrike, Jira, Teams, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Agency, media relations and/or Capitol Hill experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience in data measurement and analysis with strong presentation skills.
  • Strong data visualization and presentation skills to illustrate performance in easy-to-understand formats.
  • Excel and Google Analytics wizard.
  • Curious investigator with a passion for uncovering insights that will help guide strategy.
  • Ability and desire to learn and navigate a complex and regulated industry and subject areas.
  • Collaborative yet independent with the ability to identify opportunity areas, be flexible, navigate change, juggle competing priorities and be deadline driven.
  • Attention to detail with strong time management skills.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $63,000 - $95,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
