Summary:
We are seeking a skilled SolarWinds Consultant to join our team, responsible for implementing and configuring client SolarWinds product deployments. This role involves providing business process-focused customizations, delivering training, and analyzing business requirements to design value-added SolarWinds solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have a deep understanding of SolarWinds applications and modules.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the implementation and configuration of client SolarWinds product deployments.
- Provide clients with business process-focused customization of their deployed SolarWinds products.
- Deliver training on SolarWinds products and broader monitoring principles to clients.
- Analyze business requirements and design value-added SolarWinds implementation solutions.
- Perform system-related diagnosis based on monitoring results.
- Conduct product-level root cause analysis and guide clients through the SolarWinds support process to address identified opportunities.
- Perform as a subject matter expert regarding the use of SolarWinds products as they apply to key industry technologies.
- Guide SQL database configuration, support, and consultation.
- Travel on-site to client facilities on average of 40%.
- Obtain and maintain SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) certifications.
- Identify and escalate potential scheduling conflicts, tasking concerns, and blockers to achieve Statement of Work responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- United States citizenship required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a United States government security clearance is required. Must obtain interim clearance within the 1st year.
- 2+ years of experience with hands-on server and network administration for medium or large businesses.
- 2+ years of experience with industry-standard monitoring technologies like SNMP and WMI.
- Experience in high-availability system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience detailing technical solutions to administrators, end-users, and leadership.
- A strong understanding of SNMP, SNMP traps, and Syslog is a plus.
- Experience with SolarWinds or other related technologies (Nagios, Prometheus, etc.) a plus.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server OS administration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work effectively in a mixed remote and office-based team.
