About the role

As Factory Manager for the Local Assembly (LA) Factory in Lund, you will lead the main GPHE assembly site through a period of strategic transformation. You will ensure the factory has the right resources, capabilities, and culture to deliver long-term, sustainable business results. You will have full end-to-end supply chain responsibility and accountability for the factory’s performance and development. You are part of the Operations Management team of the Business unit.

Key Responsibilities for this role will be as per the areas below:

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure safety of people, processes, and products.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture and HSE compliance.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead transition to one-piece flow assembly.
  • Support ERP implementation and factory readiness.
  • Drive factory performance and continuous development.

Continuous Improvement

  • Advance ALPS and embed lean practices.
  • Deliver and sustain improvement results.

Leadership & Culture

  • Strengthen performance through leadership and engagement.
  • Foster inclusion, accountability, and learning.
  • Uphold Alfa Laval’s values and standards.

Supply Chain & Product Development

  • Maintain strong supply chain processes.
  • Support supplier and product development with key functions.

Who You Are

We believe you are a seasoned leader with solid experience in factory and supply chain management. You thrive in international, fast-paced environments and bring strong communication skills, a passion for change, and a hands-on approach to driving improvement. Known for your inclusive leadership, positive mindset, and ability to empower others, you create structure, deliver results, and lead with purpose.

What You Know

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field. With over 10 years of experience in manufacturing and at least 3 years in a senior leadership position, you bring both strategic insight and hands-on expertise. You have a solid understanding of Lean principles and a clear vision for a Lean Digital Factory. Your experience spans both standard and project-based manufacturing, across shop floor operations and supporting functions. We trust you have a good grasp of factory finance, including standard and project costing, along with proven leadership skills, cultural awareness, and fluency in English.
