Job Description:
The Central Administration Division of the Oregon Department of Corrections is actively recruiting to fill a Fiscal Analyst 2, in the Budget Office. This position is located at the ODOC Headquarters in Salem, Oregon, and is approved for a hybrid work schedule. You MUST be a current for ODOC, BOPPPS, and OCE employee (contract workers excluded) to apply. This recruitment is for those who meet minimum qualifications.
This position is represented by American Federations of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
The Fiscal Analyst 2 will assist in the formulation and development of the agency’s biennial budget. Following legislative approval, the analyst will input and maintain budgeted amounts in both the agency’s accounting records and statewide budget systems. This position supports managers in the development, evaluation, and analysis of programs and activities, prepares allotment plans, and monitors budget execution to ensure compliance or identify necessary funding adjustments. The role also includes preparing fiscal analyses of proposed legislation that may impact the agency.

NOTE: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree (such as Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or other analytical or technical degree) may substitute for three years of the required experience. A graduate-level degree in any of the above areas may substitute for four of the five years.
This position is located at the ODOC Headquarters in Salem, Oregon, and is approved for a hybrid work schedule. You will work in an office environment and work independently. This position functions under considerable pressure through changing deadlines, detailed tracking, and constant interruptions. Occasionally may work in close contact with Adults in Custody in an institution and may be exposed to hostile situations or incidents.
The Oregon Department of Corrections is responsible for over 12,000 adults in custody in 12 state prisons throughout Oregon. It advises and evaluates counties regarding administration of probation and parole programs supervising more than 24,000 offenders in Oregon communities. The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95%.

The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
