Job Title: RPA Developer (UiPath)

Location: Onsite – Waukesha, WI area

Schedule: Monday–Friday Onsite with 1 Remote Day/Week

Contract Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: Up to $45/hour (W2)

Conversion Salary Range: $65,000–$85,000 + Full Benefits

Work Hours: 40 hours/week (with Summer Hours option: off at noon Fridays after 40 hours)

Visa Status: W2 only – No sponsorship or H1B accepted

Interview Process:

  • Step 1: Virtual screen with Senior Automation Lead
  • Step 2: Onsite meeting with team, leadership, and possibly HR
  • Background/References: Required

Introduction

TPG is hiring a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer to support automation efforts within a growing digital operations team at a mid-size manufacturing HQ in Waukesha, WI. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a clear path to full-time conversion, offering competitive pay, great work-life balance, and an everyday casual work environment (yes, jeans are welcome).

This role is ideal for mid-level professionals with at least 2 years of hands-on RPA development experience, ideally in UiPath, and a desire to work closely with business process owners to digitize manual workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy unattended bots to automate manual business processes
  • Maintain and improve existing UiPath workflows (or other RPA tools like Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, BluePrism)
  • Document and maintain Process Definition Documents (PDD) and Solution Design Documents (SDD)
  • Troubleshoot and support bot performance in production
  • Shadow business users to map workflows, identify automation candidates, and build efficient solutions
  • Develop and execute UAT test scenarios and ensure stability across all environments
  • Collaborate with a small in-house automation team and offshore developers
  • Create reusable code modules and maintain automation best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of RPA development experience, with UiPath strongly preferred
  • Experience building unattended automations (must be able to provide project examples)
  • Strong documentation skills – PDDs, SDDs, test cases
  • Ability to triage, troubleshoot, and maintain bots post-deployment
  • Understanding of object-oriented design concepts
  • Ability to communicate with both technical teams and business stakeholders
