JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Continuous Improvement (CI) is in charge of developing, planning, and executing the strategy that results in eliminating waste, improving quality metrics, and increasing operational performance while maintaining a safe work environment.

LOCATION

  • This role ideally will sit out of one of our RSO'S - Jacksonville FL, North Augusta SC, Mira Loma CA

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide training and mentor operations team members on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Lead the development of effective continuous improvement programs across the operations group, recommend training, and provide day-to-day coaching and feedback.
  • Benchmark best practices to develop the most effective continuous improvement program.
  • Utilize data and metrics to identify improvement opportunities and track progress. Manage department expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources in delivery against goals and objectives.
  • Analyze current operations, identify areas for improvement, and prioritize projects based on potential impact and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to individuals charged with the implementation and ongoing operation of assigned TTX continuous improvement programs.
  • Facilitate the effectiveness of employee continuous improvement training and education programs, including training and orientation for new employees and all TTX personnel.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Lead and develop a TTX Continuous Improvement group.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or related fields.
  • At least fifteen years of experience in leading continuous improvement activities within an industrial facility. At least five years supervisory experience. Certified Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge and experience with computer statistical software programs.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to develop and conduct continuous improvement programs and courses.
  • Ability to implement policies, rules and best in class processes and benchmark best practices across industries.
  • Ability to analyze performance, resolve issues to prevent further recurrence. Anticipate problems and communicate solutions to prevent issues.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Hands on, driven, analytical, results-oriented, customer-centric, self-starter with strong change management skills that enjoys leading diverse teams.
  • Must be able to travel 60% or more to TTX Repair locations.
