Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Project Manager leads enterprise-wide initiatives connecting SaaS platforms, custom applications, data flows and infrastructure to deliver a seamless user experience. This position is skilled in formalizing scope, planning work, and keeping participants aligned with project/program goals. The Project Manager possess self-awareness and visibly demonstrates leadership while handling inevitable change during a project/program life cycle. This role requires expert level communications, organization, and critical thinking skills. The applicant is self-directed, works under minimal supervision, and prioritizes activities based on urgency and importance. Exhibits a level of comfort working with ambiguity and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Must be well organized and have solid experience providing executive level presentations and status reporting. Has outstanding people management skills to lead a large team and completes all people management duties with care and on time.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, manage, and drive the delivery of medium to large-scale inter-disciplinary technical, product or software development projects/programs
  • Apply strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Evaluate a broad range of factors to plan projects, program and complete work (i.e., costs, timing, complexity of tasks, client needs, and resources available)
  • Identify and apply the most appropriate project methodology to create detailed plans and/or backlogs/ sprints timelines
  • Proactively monitors project/program performance in relation to cost, schedule, scope, and quality by applying the appropriate quality management process, such as validation, verification, and acceptance
  • Create and distribute clearly written status reports that reflect the current state of the project/program
  • Resolve and/or escalate resource, budget, schedule and change issues affecting deliverables
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand, de-escalate, mediate, and negotiate with individuals within a context of political sensitivity and conflicting interests
  • Maintain ownership and accountability of all work products; motivate the team to produce high quality results
  • Approach problems in a consistent and systematic manner; instinctively recognize potential issues and risks and consider solutions beyond the obvious
  • Exercise independent judgement and decision making in instances that have major implications on project/program direction and success
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality of all Firm and client information, records and files, both within and outside of the Firm

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least fifteen (15) years of proven project management experience
  • Certification in a related field such as PMI, Agile/Scrum, ITIL or equivalent IT and advanced project management knowledge
  • Experience with software development life cycle and in risk and issue management for various types of deployments
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles, practices, software, and tools
  • Proven work experience in communicating with various stakeholders at the C-level, business departments and technical teams
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to deliver engaging, informative and well-organized presentations
  • Strong professional oral and written communication, active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Word)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities in high pressure situations
  • Ability to travel and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
  • Business analyst and/or technical writing skills is desired
  • Some level of supervisory experience is required
  • Possess self-awareness and the ability to demonstrate leadership while handling inevitable change during a project/program life cycle
  • Law firm or professional services experience is a plus
  • May require travel for meetings and/or job specific activities
  • Ability to travel (less than 10% and only when required) and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hour

Target Hiring Range $107,000 - $158,000

Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
