Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Onsite)

We are seeking a Senior Developer Java/AWS to design, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep expertise in Java, Microservices architecture, Kafka, and Spring frameworks to build scalable and secure systems.

Location: Jersey City, NJ.

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Hybrid position, 3 days a week at the office.

Responsibilities

  • Involve in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment
  • Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
  • Experience in React / Angular on web development
  • Hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka)
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues

Adds value to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills - technical skills.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Invest API , Oracle, Kafka
  • Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3,RDS, terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.
  • Experience in React / Angular on web development
  • Good to have experience in any of the rules engine (Ex. Drools)
  • Good to have experience in JPMC on-premises cloud (Gaia)
  • Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins
  • Strong communication skills and experienced in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.
  • Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving.
  • Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.

Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 07/15/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422– $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
