Position Title: Operator 1- Module 1

Scope & Responsibilities of Operator 1- Module 1: (Not limited to)

  • Coordinates a single packaging and labeling line. Ensures line operates without interruption or error. Containers and product and labeling are appropriate to the assigned production run. Operates instrument panel and ensures all employees assigned the packaging line stations perform appropriately. Inspects packaging seal integrity. Ensures assigned employees are monitoring appropriately and with diligence. Ensures the product is packaged and moved to inventory storage. Maintains inventory and production records. This includes calculating average production rates and ranges and plot information on control chart. On a timely basis, completes paperwork to account for inventory changes. General supervision.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Education & Experience for Operator 1- Module 1:

  • 5+ years of general work experience. Experience working a single packaging line with multiple stations and set-ups. High school diploma or equivalent; Vocational school degree preferred. Understand and follow the lockout/tag out regulations and open line/entry permit requirements. Valid Driver's License.

Other Qualifications of Operator 1- Module 1:

  • Microsoft Office applications Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as other applicable software.
  • Successful completion of all company mandated &/or job-related training programs deemed appropriate.

Physical & Cognitive Demands of Operator 1- Module 1:

  • COGNITIVE DEMANDS: Meet deadlines, focus attention, work independently, work with a team, perform repetitive tasks, instructing, organizing, reading comprehension, critical thinking/troubleshooting. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: seeing, speaking, hearing, smelling, kneeling, stooping, sitting, walk/climb, stand/reach, listen, writing, physical coordination, driving, climbing, twisting/bending, assembling parts, keyboarding, Working in extreme heat/cold on elevated platforms with exposure to hazardous materials. Push/pull/lift/carry 50 pounds. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
