Position Summary:

The Bag Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining bag-making machines to ensure quality production of plastic or paper bags. This role includes monitoring output, performing basic troubleshooting, and working closely with production staff to meet daily goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate automatic bag machines per job specs.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed.
• Conduct quality checks on seals, bag size, and print alignment.
• Load raw materials and remove finished product.
• Document production output and downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating bag machines is preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
