Sr. QA Automation Engineer for Detroit, MI to automate software applications & test cases; identify test conditions for user stories; administer test plans, scenarios & cases; introduce & implement new automation tools; set up automation frameworks; participate in test planning activities; develop, execute & maintain manual and automated tests to ensure code quality; document test results; review functional test cases & design specifications for automated test frameworks.; research & recommend continuous process improvements; mentor junior team members. Requires Master’s in C.S., I.T., I.T. Management, Computer, Software, Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, or closely-related field & 2 yrs experience in IT-related position(s): automating test cases using Selenium, Appium and/or related mobile application automation tools; performing software quality testing for web-based, iOS, & Android applications; automating .NET applications; introducing & implementing new automation tools in a team environment; mentoring and/or coaching junior team members; performing load testing using LoadRunner and/or JMeter; executing SQL queries against databases; testing web services using SoapUI & Postman; developing, executing & maintaining manual and automated tests and documenting test results; applying Agile methodologies during all phases of the software development lifecycle; developing automation frameworks & test suites using TestNG and/or JUnit; analyzing test scripts to identify & resolve performance issues; setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or TeamCity; creating web applications and/or automation dashboards to trigger mobile & web automation scripts; using version control tools, including GitHub, SVN and/or GitLab; and communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Will also accept Bachelor’s in said fields & 5 yrs progressive post-Bachelor’s stated experience.
