Team / division overview

Regional Finance APAC team’s primary responsibilities include the analysis and reporting of financial position and performance of the standalone APAC entities and sub-businesses of DWS used by Regional CFOs, Business FDs, external auditors, regulators, and various teams within DWS. The team ensures timely and accurate reporting of the financials which are critical in making informed decision and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities

As Regional Finance Manager (APAC), you will play a key role in the preparation, review and discussion of entity financials as well as preparation of management reports for APAC CFO and business FDs, work with multiple teams in reviewing effective control environment to ensure accurate and timely reporting both internally and externally. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review financials for regulatory submission
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure accuracy of Financial Statements for statutory annual audit
  • Produce various internal Reports & Analysis and discuss the monthly results with regional CFO, business FDs, and board
  • Review month-end results, raise and discuss unusual items with various DWS Manila teams which also includes identifying any control gaps and plans to mitigate risks
  • Review and sign-off monthly balance sheet substantiation process, ensuring each account is properly supported and that unsubstantiated balances (including aged accounts) are reviewed and coordinated until addressed;
  • Support adhoc queries and reporting requirements, if any, in a timely & accurate manner
  • Assist/support project deliverables, reviews and studies
  • Keep all operational guidelines updated and ensure adherence to standards, KPIs, objectives and other metrics requirements & procedures

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, or Finance-related equivalents with Accounting courses
  • Experience in financial and management reporting or analysis of financial data gained from the Financial Services, Audit or BPO industry would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills through careful and systematic evaluation of information, identifying linkages and trends from individual events and data points; seeing the context and providing solutions that address the issue and the big-picture
  • A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently
  • Knowledge of SAP system is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Strong stakeholder management
