The CalEPA, Office of the Secretary (OOS) is seeking a ServiceNow developer who possesses technical skills and experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow applications. The incumbent will join a team of lead staff in performing comprehensive testing to ensure platform changes and new applications being deployed meet business requirements and isare free of defects, bugs, and issues. The incumbent will leverage ServiceNow's features such as Studio, Flow Designer, UI Policies, Client Script, and other platform tools to streamline new application development.
Under the general direction of the CalEPA Agency Information Officer (AIO), the Information Technology Specialist II is responsible for deploying applications, providing maintenance and upgrades in the shared platform along with testing and quality assurance. The incumbent will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle and lead the creation and upkeep of documentation on application development, system designs, and implementation procedures.
This position offers exciting opportunities to collaborate with CalEPA BDO representatives, and working closely with internal IT professionals and external contractors on various ServiceNow deployment projects. Find out more about this exciting opportunity in the Duty Statement.

This position may be eligible for hybrid in-office work and in-state telework. The amount of telework is at the agency's discretion and is based on the California Air Resources Boards' (CARB) current telework policy. While the CARB may support telework, some in-person attendance is also required.
The positions at the CARB may be eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on the operational needs of the position under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria outlined in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework.
