SUMMARY
The senior project manager position will report to the Project Controls and Compliance Division Manager in the General Services Department. This position will assist the division manager by following market trends and conditions in the construction industry, providing senior-level cost estimating, scheduling, project related risk management oversight, and project controls reporting for a wide variety of capital projects which may include roadways, sidewalks/shared use paths, streetscape/urban infrastructure, and city facilities (new construction and renovations).
This position will also serve on the Strategic Investment Area (SIA) Program Controls and Risk Management teams, assisting with implementation of project control measures and reporting for SIA, while making recommendations for the implementation of new processes and procedures across all General Services capital projects. The SIA Program aligns the city’s mobility policies with mobility needs to identify and prioritize the implementation of transportation infrastructure with a place-based focus around local needs.

Final candidates must pass a pre-employment drug-screening test and physical examination. During the selection process, candidates may be asked to take a skills test, and/or participate in other assessments.
